VEN PONGAL

Ingredients


Raw rice
1 cup
Moong dal
1/3 cup
Pepper
1 tsp
Cumin
½ tsp
Ghee

Cashew

Water
2 ½ times of raw rice + moong dal
Salt, curry leaves, oil




Method


  1. Fry raw rice and moong dal without oil. Let it cool.
  2. Wash it and pressure-cook with salt and cumin powder.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan fry pepper, cashew and curry leaves.
  4. Pour this into the pongal.
