Ingredients
Raw rice | 1 cup |
Moong dal | 1/3 cup |
Pepper | 1 tsp |
Cumin | ½ tsp |
Ghee | |
Cashew | |
Water | 2 ½ times of raw rice + moong dal |
Salt, curry leaves, oil |
Method
- Fry raw rice and moong dal without oil. Let it cool.
- Wash it and pressure-cook with salt and cumin powder.
- Heat ghee in a pan fry pepper, cashew and curry leaves.
- Pour this into the pongal.
