Tomato Thokku

Ingredients


Tomatoes
8 medium
Cumin
½ tsp
Mustard
½ tsp
Fenugreek
½ tsp
Chilli powder
1 and a half tsp
Turmeric powder
¼ tsp
Garlic
10 cloves
Oil
½ cup
Salt
To taste


Method


  1. Wash and cut Tomatoes
  2. In a small skillet, heat cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds for few minutes on med heat while sirring constantly.
  3. Remove from fire and then powder along with mustard seeds. Keep asids.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add garlic and fry till brown. Now add the above powder, red chilli powder and fry for a min.
  5. Immediately add tomatoes, salt and turmeric powder. Stir periodically and cook on low heat until the oil appears on the surface.
