Ingredients
Chicken | ½ kg |
Tomatoes | 3 |
Onion | 1 |
Curry powder | ¼ cup |
G/g paste | 1 tbsp |
Chilli powder | 1 ¼ tsp |
Turmeric powder | ½ tsp |
Cilantro, mint leaves | ¼ cup |
Garam masala | ½ tsp |
Curd | ½ cup |
Salt, oil, lemon juice |
Method
- Marinate chicken with half the amount of the following with salt for ½ an hour: chilli powder, curry powder, turmeric, g/g paste.
- Heat oil in apan, fry onion till golden brown.
- Add g/g paste, tomatoes – fry well.
- Add ¾ th of cilantro and little bit of mint leaves.
- Add chilli powder, curry powder, turmeric and mix well.
- Add salt and curd – mix well.
- After that add chicken and mix well – Don’t add water.
- Cook till done. Add garam masala, curry leaves, cilantro and mint leaves.
- Switch off and add lemon juice.
Note
We can do the other way – deep-fry the marinated chicken and then proceed.
