Ingredients
Rava | 1 cup |
Vermicelli | ¾ cup |
Carrot | 1 |
Peas (optional) | 10 |
Curd | 1 cup |
Baking soda | A pinch |
Cashew | 10 |
Cumin seeds | ½ tsp |
Ginger (chopped) | ½ tsp |
Mustard | ½ tsp |
Pepper | ½ tsp |
Salt, oil, curry leaves |
Method
1. Heat oil in a pan, fry vermicelli and keep aside. Heat oil in a same pan, add mustard, curry leaves, cumin, ginger, pepper, peas and carrot. Fry well.
2. Add rava and fry till aroma comes. Add fried vermicelli and toss them switch off and let them cool.
3. In a bowl, add this mixture with salt, cashew and baking soda and make idly batter. Pour in the idly mould and steam it.
