Vegetable bonda is a nice evening time snack. Since the crunchy outside soft inside, small children will also like this snack.
Ingredients
1 cup cooked vegetables (carrot, beans, broccoli, potato)
1 cup channa dal
¼ cup rice flour
½ tsp. chilli powder
½ onion cut into small pieces
1 pinch of asafetida
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method
Ø Soak channa dal for 3 hours and grind to a coarse paste.
Ø In a bowl, mix vegetables, onion, ground channa dal, rice flour, chilli powder, asafoetida, curry leaves and salt. Mix well with hands.
Ø Make small balls and deep fry them.
